The microphone

The browser asks for the microphone only after you press a button to start a check or a test that is marked by listening. While you sing or clap, the sound is read into the page's memory and analysed there for pitch and timing. It is never uploaded and never saved: a take is kept in memory only for its result (so you can hear it again) and is gone after the next take or when the page closes. The microphone is closed as soon as each take ends. The site does not use speech recognition.

What you type

A student's name is optional; without one the profile is called Student 1 and so on. You choose a grade. The site never asks who you are and has no field for an email address or a photo.

What stays on your device

There is no server side to this site: it is a set of static files, and everything runs in your browser. Profiles and the attempt log (dates, test types, scores, and how each was marked) are written to your browser's own local storage, under keys beginning with auraltrainer (one of them is a short test that storage works, removed straight away). They belong to one browser on one device: they do not follow you to another device, they are not backed up by us, and nobody else can read them. Clearing site data for this site removes them permanently. Download a backup to keep a copy; that file is saved wherever you choose and is yours to keep or delete. A teacher sheet PDF is made in your browser and saved to your downloads.

No accounts

There is no sign up, no sign in, no email capture and no password. Every page, including the trainer and the teacher sheet, works without identifying yourself in any way.

What is collected

No account, no advertising identifiers, and nothing you enter. Standard web server logs kept by the static host may record the request for a page, its time and a network address, in the ordinary way any web server records a request.

Page counts

If page visit counting is switched on for this site, visits are counted through Cloudflare. The count sets no cookie, cannot follow you to another site, and records that a page was opened, never what you typed.

Purchases

If paid plans are offered, a purchase is handled by RevenueCat and Stripe, who receive what a payment needs, such as your email address and card, and never any sound, name or practice log. An anonymous purchase id is stored in this browser so your access is recognised here.

Typeface

Headings are set in Instrument Serif, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and served from this site, so no font service sees your visit. The licence sits beside it at /fonts/OFL.txt.

Cookies

Auraldesk sets no cookies of its own and carries no advertising or cross site tracking scripts.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the change will appear on this page.

Contact

Questions about privacy go to socialreminderinfo@gmail.com. Since nothing is stored on a server, most requests are answered by telling you which local storage keys to clear.
